At Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, we offer BHS training delivered by our team of experienced accredited professionals.

Our team include a BHS Assessor, a Stage 5 Performance Coach (BHSI), a Stage 4 Senior Coach (BHSII), and a Stage 3 Coach (BHSAI).

Whether you’re starting out on your BHS journey, returning after a break, or advancing toward your next BHS qualification, our team provides expert instruction, personalised support, and a structured pathway to help you achieve your goals.

BHS Pathway Consultation & Assessment

Many riders and professionals are unsure of where to begin their journey within the BHS system. We offer personalised consultations and assessments to help you understand your current position on the BHS Pathway.

Our team will guide you on how to move forward with clarity – creating tailored, results-oriented next steps to achieve your goals.

Direct Entry Applications into the BHS Assessments

If you have significant industry experience, competition results, or qualifications from other recognised national equestrian organisations, you may be eligible to apply for Direct Entry to the BHS Assessments.

We regularly assist clients in successfully navigating this process, ensuring their skills and experience is recognised and their application is well-supported.

BHS Exam Training (Stages 1 - 4)

We offer comprehensive training for all stages of the BHS Assessments, including riding, lunging, horse care, and coaching. Training can be arranged through weekly one-on-one or small group sessions (once or twice per week), or through focused half-day and full-day intensive courses.

We’re committed to supporting your success, and happy to customise a training plan that meets with your individual needs and goals.

BHS ‘Skills Record’ Sign-Off
for Assessments

For candidates preparing to sit BHS Stage 2 Assessments and above, it is a mandatory requirement that the relevant sections of the BHS Skills Record are signed off by a BHS Accredited Professional Coach (APC).

At ADEC, our qualified coaching team is fully authorised to carry out Skills Record sign-offs across all levels. We will work with you to ensure that you are able to demonstrate each required skill safely, competently, and to the appropriate BHS standard before providing sign-off.

The number of sessions required and associated costs will vary depending on your current level of experience and readiness. Our coaches will assess your ability and provide honest, constructive feedback to guide your preparation and ensure you meet the required standards with confidence.

BHS Mock Exams

Booking a BHS Assessment? A mock exam is one of the most effective ways to prepare and build confidence ahead of the real assessment.

Our BHS Mock Exams are designed to replicate the structure, timing, and pressure of the actual exam day. You’ll be expected to demonstrate practical skills within a set timeframe and provide clear, well-reasoned answers – just as you would in the official assessment.

Many candidates experience nerves on the day of their exam, and our mock exams are a proven way to reduce anxiety and increase your readiness. By simulating the real exam conditions, you’ll become familiar with the format and expectations, helping you perform at your best when it matters most.

Mock exams also offer valuable insight into your current level—highlighting areas of strength and identifying where further revision or practice may be needed. We offer both private and group mock exam sessions and strongly recommend this step as part of every candidate’s preparation strategy.
