Pony Club at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club
Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club is proud to be an official Overseas Pony Club Centre, joining an international network of more than 400 Centres.
Founded in England in 1929, The Pony Club is an international youth organisation devoted to horsemanship and the proper care of horses and ponies. Today it has over 110,000 members across 27 countries and has been the starting point for many of the world’s top riders.
As an Overseas Centre, Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club members can work towards the same internationally recognised tests, badges and certificates as Pony Club members worldwide, through an official Pony Club membership.
How it works
The Pony Club programme is a fun, structured journey that combines horsemanship, knowledge and personal development, delivered by our qualified coaches.
- Open to members aged 6 to 12, in small groups of up to 8 children
- One 45-minute session each week during term time – 12 sessions per term
- Three terms each year:
Term 1: September to December
Term 2: January to April
Term 3: May to August
Fees
- Membership fee: AED 800 (one-time), includes international Pony Club registration and a co-branded Welcome Pack (Pony Club manual, t-shirt, badge and backpack)
- Term fee: AED 2,200 for 12 weekly sessions
- Efficiency Test fee: will be announced separately.
Enrolment for Term 1 (September 2026) is now open. Places are limited.
The Pony Club Pathway
Members progress through official Pony Club badges and internationally recognised Efficiency Tests:
Mini Badges
Introductory awards for the youngest riders, with a milestone badge awarded after collecting at least 14.
Achievement Badges
Topic-based skill awards, with the Gold Achievement Badge awarded after collecting 21 badges.
Efficiency Tests
The formal qualification pathway from E through to A, forming the foundation of the Pony Club training programme.
