What’s New for 2026–2027

What’s changing for the 2026–2027 Riding School season?

There are two exciting additions to the Riding School this season:

  1. Term Horse Riding Programme — structured, term-based packages of 12 lessons designed to provide greater consistency, regular feedback and a clearer focus on rider development.
  2. Rider Progression Pathway — a grading and development framework that takes riders through defined levels: Beginner, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced.

We’re also moving to Hopoti, our new online platform for booking, managing and paying for riding lessons.

Hopoti

What is Hopoti?

Hopoti is ADEC’s new online platform for booking and managing your riding lessons. You can use it to view your schedule, manage bookings and pay invoices — all from your phone or computer.

It replaces our previous booking process.

When will I receive my Hopoti invitation?

If your rider’s place has carried over from last season, your invitation will arrive on Monday, 14 September 2026. If you do not have a carried-over place, you will receive your email on Sunday, 20 September 2026, when booking opens.

Do I need to download an app?

To add the App to your mobile device, please make sure you’re using Safari (not Chrome). Then tap the Share button ↑ at the bottom of your screen, scroll down, and tap “Add to Home Screen.” The app will appear on your home screen like a regular app — no App Store needed.

Do I need to do anything before I receive my Hopoti invitation?

No. There’s nothing you need to set up in advance.

Once you receive your invitation, simply follow the link to access your account. If you’re a returning rider with a place held for the new season, your existing booking will already be in place.

How do I set up my Hopoti account?

Simply follow the link in your Hopoti invitation email and complete the account set-up. It should only take a few minutes.

What can I do once my Hopoti account is set up?

Your Hopoti account allows you to:

  • Manage multiple riders through one family account
  • View all upcoming lessons in a single calendar
  • Manage your bookings online
  • View and pay outstanding invoices
  • Keep track of payments and receipts
  • Receive booking updates from ADEC
  • Follow Riding School news through the Hopoti Feed

Who should I contact if I have trouble setting up my account?

If you need help setting up your Hopoti account, you can contact Jennifer Butrymowicz at jennifer@hopoti.com.

You can also contact the ADEC Riding School team directly and we’ll be happy to help.

Bookings & Places

Do I need to confirm my existing place or book from scratch?

This depends on your rider’s status.

If your rider’s place has carried over from last season:

You’ll receive a season announcement on Friday, 11 September, followed by a link to confirm your place on Hopoti. You’re simply confirming your existing place — you’re not competing for a new slot.

If you don’t have a carried-over place:

This includes new riders and returning riders who are not on the carried-over list. Booking opens on Sunday, 20 September. You’ll receive an email with a booking link and can book and pay during the same visit.

When do I need to confirm my carried-over place?

Please confirm your place by Friday, 18 September 2026.

After this date, the schedule will open to new riders, so your usual day and time can no longer be guaranteed.

A reminder will be sent on Thursday, 17 September to anyone who has not yet confirmed their place.

I have one returning rider and one new rider in my household — what do I do?

Your returning rider will receive a Hopoti sign-up link.

For your new rider, simply complete the Riding School application form: Complete the application form.

Once we have it, the team will confirm their lesson and level, and both riders can then be managed through the same family account.

What if I miss the 18 September deadline?

Please contact the Riding School team. Your usual day and time can no longer be guaranteed, but we will do our best to find the slot that suits you from what remains available.

Prices & Payments

Where do I find the latest price list?

The updated 2026–2027 price list is available on the ADEC website.

View the 2026–2027 price list

I have lessons I paid for before the move to Hopoti that haven’t been used — what happens to them?

They are not lost. Any lessons you have already paid for are deducted from your new term package in Hopoti, so the invoice you receive covers only the balance.

You will see the deduction on your invoice when you log in. If the figure doesn’t look right, contact the Riding School team and we will check it for you.

Cancellations & Missed Lessons

How much notice do I need to give to cancel a lesson?

At least 48 hours.

Cancel your lesson in Hopoti or contact the Riding School team more than 48 hours before it starts, and the lesson will be credited back to your account for you to rebook within the same term, subject to availability.

What if I cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice?

Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice cannot be credited or rebooked, as the horse and instructor have been reserved for your rider.

The same applies if a rider does not attend.

What happens if my rider misses a lesson?

A lesson missed without 48 hours’ notice cannot be credited or made up.

If your rider is unwell or injured on the day, please let us know as early as possible and we will do what we can.

What if ADEC cancels a lesson?

If we cancel a lesson — for extreme heat, weather, arena conditions or horse welfare — the lesson is credited to your account in full and can be rebooked at no cost.

We will always contact you as early as we can.

Term Packages, Stablecards & Credits

Do the lessons in my term package expire?

Yes. Term packages are valid for the term in which they are booked.

Up to two unused lessons may be carried into the following term, provided the new term is booked. Any lessons beyond those two cannot be carried over, except where we have agreed a medical exception.

What is a Stablecard?

Stable cards are 10-lesson packages. Currently these are only offered to our Livery clients.

Changing Lessons

Can I transfer my lessons to another rider?

Lessons are booked for a named rider and cannot be transferred outside your family. Siblings within the same family account can swap a lesson — just contact the Riding School team beforehand so we can check the lesson is right for the rider taking it.

Can I change my regular day and time during the term?

Contact the Riding School team and we will move your rider where there is space at the right level.

Changes depend on availability and cannot be guaranteed mid-term.

Rider Health & Safety

What if my rider is injured or ill for an extended period?

Where a rider is unable to ride for an extended period, please contact the Riding School team with a medical certificate.

We will look at each case individually and, where possible, credit the remaining lessons to the following term.

What if we arrive late?

Lessons finish at the scheduled time, so a late arrival means a shorter lesson.

For safety reasons, a rider who arrives after the lesson has begun may not be able to join.

Frequently Asked Questions

Two things are new: a Term Horse Riding Programme — structured, term-based packages of 12 lessons, designed to give more consistency, regular feedback and a clearer focus on your rider’s development — and a Rider Progression Pathway, a grading and development framework taking riders through defined levels from Beginner to Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. Alongside this, we’re also moving onto Hopoti, a new platform for booking, managing and paying for lessons.

Hopoti is ADEC’s new online platform for booking and managing your riding lessons, viewing your schedule and paying invoices — all from your phone or computer. It replaces our previous booking process.

You will receive the invitation from Hopoti on Monday, 14 September.

No — there’s nothing to set up before you receive your email on the 14th September. Once it arrives, the link opens your account with your existing bookings already in place if you’re a returning rider with a place held for the new season.

Follow the link in your Hopoti email and complete set-up — it takes a few minutes.

Manage multiple riders through a single family account, see all your upcoming lessons in one calendar, manage your bookings online, view and pay outstanding invoices, keep track of payments and receipts, receive booking updates from us, and follow our news through the Hopoti Feed.

Jennifer Butrymowicz at jennifer@hopoti.com, or the ADEC Riding School team directly — we’re happy to help you through it.

If your rider’s place has carried over from last season, you’ll receive a season announcement on Friday 11 September followed by a link to confirm your place on Hopoti — you’re simply confirming, not competing for a slot. If you don’t have a carried-over place (including if you’re a returning rider not on that list, or your family is new to booking), you’ll receive one email on Sunday 20 September when booking opens, and you book and pay in the same visit.

Friday 18 September. After that date the schedule opens to new riders, and your usual day and time can no longer be guaranteed. A reminder goes out Thursday 17 September to anyone who hasn’t yet confirmed.

A Hopoti sign-up link will be sent to the returning rider.

The new rider will be required to fill in the Riding School application form.

Please note, after the 18th September, the schedule opens to new riders, and your usual day and time can no longer be guaranteed.
